With a bit of effort and a lot of fun you can become a certified diver! If you have the time, choose for the Open Water Diver Course; if not, opt for the shorter Scuba Diver Course.

Our Scuba Diver Course

This course is excellent for those who want to get certified but do not have the time to finish a complete Open Water Course. During this course you learn to dive safely under the professional guidance of our experienced instructors. The course consists of three theory sessions, three confined water sessions and two open water dives. Upon completion you will receive an internationally valid certificate which allows you to dive with a PADI Divemaster or Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

During this course we normally make the two open water dives. This means that you will get some impression of the underwater world in the Maldives and with a bit of luck you will see things which most people only dream about.

As a Scuba Diver you can upgrade your certification to Open Water Diver by doing the remaining two modules (Theory, Confined Water Lessons and Open Water Dives) and the theory exam.

Our Open Water Diver Course

This course includes 5 sessions in a lagoon or on a shallow reef where one of our instructors will teach you the skills necessary to become an Open Water Diver. The remaining four dives are open water dives. We will take you to the reefs and practise the skills that you learned in shallow water.

Upon the successful completion of this course, you will be awarded with either the PADI Open Water Diver Certification card (minimum age 15 years) or the PADI Junior Open Water Diver Certification card (minimum age 10 years). With the Open Water Diver License you will have an internationally recognized certificate which enables you to dive from a boat, to rent or buy scuba equipment, to obtain air for your own scuba tanks and to participate in diving activities around the world.

Online theory

Now there is the possibility to finish your theory (Open Water and Advanced Open Water only) before you come out here to do the dive course with us. Through PADI e learning you can schedule your theory at your own convenience online at home. If you sign up for elearning and mention Delphis as the divecenter where you will do the water lessons we will deduct US 50 from your course fee. Even if you prebook your course through our website!
